Attorney Susan Busby has worked diligently to serve individuals and families in Connecticut throughout her legal career. Before starting her own practice in 2009, she was an associate at the Loudon Legal Group in Hartford which she joined in 2001. Before that she practiced litigation and trusts and estates with Day, Berry and Howard (now Day Pitney LLP).
Susan has supplemented her formal legal education with advanced training in mediation, collaboration and pastoral counseling. As a former estates attorney Susan is in a unique position to help people resolve complex financial issues. In addition, she received PEACE (Parents Equally Aligned to Co-parent Effectively) training from board certified psychologists in resolving difficult parenting issues.
She has been appointed by judges to help parents resolve complex parenting issues though the court's Early Intervention Program. Susan has been a Special Master in divorce cases where individuals need to resolve financial issues, and has been a parenting mediator for the Children's Law Center Families-in-Transition Program.
A co-author of a treatise on Connecticut Civil Procedure, Susan also has written articles for other legal publications, including "Divorce and Separation" in American Jurisprudence, a legal encyclopedia.
